| Weekend Oasis Lush tropical prints were combined with animal skin motifs, as well as a lavish paisley and a warm basket weave, to give this project its exotic, worldly appeal. Spicy colors in the collection evoke the feeling of a traveling caravan in a paradise of palm trees and lagoons. An overall patchwork print, with its variety of intricate patterns, makes the quilt design look more complex than it actually is—a simple two-block construction. This patchwork fabric also pulls the whole collection together and is ideal for creating a variety of matching accessories. BEGINNER |

Nature's Gems The colors and patterns of nature are the essence of this fabric collection. Bamboo prints, together with large fern leaf motifs, have a luminous, watercolor effect against the jewel-tone hues of the rainbow. Quilt artist and fabric designer Michele Scott has an approach that is similar to a painter's. She is awed by the beauty of the landscape around her, incorporating Mother Nature into her designs and hand-painted fabrics. The range of colors in Nature's Palette will add depth and texture to all types of projects, both traditional and contemporary. INTERMEDIATE |

Log Cabin Rose Elegant textures and subtle earth tones blend together beautifully in this stunning bed quilt! Some of Princess Mirah's latest batik fabrics in low contrast shades of smoky brown and beige were used to create an ambience of peace and tranquility. These exotic batiks, still made by hand and sun dried the centuries-old Balinese way, were sewn together in traditional Log Cabin blocks to create a quilt that works well with any décor. Serenity Some of the most beautiful and dramatic sunsets can be seen in Alaska! "These colors are so intense," explains Karla Overland, co-owner of Cherrywood Fabrics, "that I knew this collection of eight color-rich gradations just had to be called Alaskan Sunset." Cherrywood's hand-dyed fabric is unique because it has the distinctive look and feel of suede. The subtle tone-on-tone variations give depth to quilt projects, while still appearing solid. Karla uses her passion for rich, dramatic color and draws her inspiration from nature when dyeing each piece. INTERMEDIATE quilt kit ordering information |

Angel Houses "The stars are angel houses way up in the sky, tiny little houses where angels learn to fly." This saying and others adorn a sweet twin-size quilt—perfect for any little girl's room. Fabric designer Anne Sutton mixes whimsy and imagination to create a collection of endearing prints, including little angels, dots, stars, and stripes, that coordinate with four sampler panels. "It's that bit of child [who] lives in all of us that keeps me designing," Anne explains. And what child doesn't love angels? They are a symbol of all things good and innocent. INTERMEDIATE |
