It is recommended that you submit a query first. Manuscripts submitted via e-mail or on a CD, formatted for Microsoft Word. Write simple, clear, and thorough directions, including a list of materials, finished sizes, seam allowances, assembly diagrams, etc. Be sure patterns are perfectly accurate and marked clearly with cutting, sewing, and fabric grain directions. Submissions are also accepted via e-mail. Stories must be accompanied by professional quality 35mm slides or high-resolution digital images.

If you submit a query by mail, attach a good photograph and description of your project. Include an SASE with sufficient postage for the return of your material.

All American Crafts publishes original, exclusive patterns and purchases First North American Rights, which means the company has exclusivity for as long as the magazine is on sale. After the off-sale date, all rights revert back to the designer. Payment is made upon publication. The editors will respond in a timely manner to manuscripts and queries.
